More Chinese and overseas films, including The Odyssey, are expected to drive further growth in the summer box office. By last Sunday, summer screenings had exceeded 30.22 million, up 6.3% year on year, while moviegoers surpassed 230 million, up 5%. The average ticket price dropped 3.2% year on year to 36.3 yuan, the lowest level for a summer movie season in five years.
